Antonio María Pradera Jáuregui
CHAIRMAN (PROPRIETARY DIRECTOR)
A Road Engineering graduate from Madrid's Polytechnic University, Mr. Pradera began his career in 1979 as a director at Banco Bilbao, where he worked until 1985. In 1988, he was named executive director of Nerisa, where he stayed until 1993, when he moved to SEAT as director of strategy. He played an important role in the creation of INSSEC in 1995, where he served as chief executive until 2010. He served as the Executive Chairman of CIE Automotive from 2012 until 2017, working in the strategy and financial design departments; he also chaired Global Dominion Access, S.A. Since May 2015, he has been a director at Tubacex and since June 2015, a director at Corporación Financiera Alba. On 31 December 2017, he stepped down from his executive duties at CIE Automotive, thus reinforcing the company's corporate governance practices.
Jesús María Herrera Barandiaran
CHIEF EXECUTIVE OFFICER (EXECUTIVE DIRECTOR)
A graduate of business studies and economics from the Basque University, Mr. Herrera also holds a Master of International Expansion (from Euroforum). He joined CIE Automotive as CFO in 1991, also heading up the HR function for CIE Orbelan. In 1995, he was named deputy manager and in 1998 he was promoted to general manager. In 2000, he took over management of CIE Brazil and in 2002, of CIE Plasfil. That same year he was named global director of CIE Plástico, a position he held until 2005, when he took up the general manager spot at CIE America. He has been the CEO of Autometal S.A. since 2010 and in 2011 he was named COO for the entire Group; just a year later he would be named general manager of CIE Automotive. Lastly, in 2013, the Board of Directors appointed him CEO of CIE Automotive. He is also a director at Global Dominion Access, S.A.
Elena María Orbegozo Laborde
Bachelor's degree in Mathematical Sciences. She has spent part of her professional career in a multinational company which provides technology services, focused on Information Management and Bigdata. María Eugenia Girón Dávila
Senior Industrial Engineering qualification from ICAI and Master’s in Business Administration from Harvard Business School. She has been a Director at Loewe and CEO of Carrera y Carrera after leading the “Management Buy in” process. She is Vice Chair of the International Board of Trustees of Oceana and member of the Board of Trustees of la Real Fábrica de Tapices and IE University as well as President of the Diversity Foundation. She is a member of the jury of the European Innovation Council Accelerator of the European Commission and the Green Deal. She is also Co-Chair of Women Corporate Directors and a member of the Board of Board Members and Directors. She is currently Executive Director of IE University Premium & Prestige Observatory, and a member of the advisory board of companies in the premium sector.
Francisco José Riberas Mera
Francisco J. Riberas Mera was born in Madrid, June 1st, 1964. He holds a degree in Law (1987) and in Economics and Business Administration (1988) from the University Pontificia de Comillas (ICADE E-3), Madrid. In 1989 he began his professional career working in Business Management at Gonvarri Group. He then became Director of Corporate Development, and was subsequently named CEO. In 1997 he promoted the creation of Gestamp, assuming his role of Executive Chairman and shaping along these years what Gestamp is today. He is member of the Board of Telefónica, CIE Automotive and Wallbox. Furthermore, Riberas is also board member in other companies of the family holding, ACEK, such as Gonvarri Group, Acek Energías Renovables, Inmobiliaria Acek and Sideacero. Francisco J. Riberas is thepresident of SERNAUTO -the Spanish Association of Automotive Suppliers-, Fundación Consejo España-China, Consejo Asesor Empresarial España-China and Endeavor Foundation in Spain. In addition, he has been president of the Family Business Institute between May 2018 and June 2020.
Juan María Riberas Mera
Jon Riberas was born in Madrid in 1968. He has a degree in Law (1991) and a degree in Economics and Business Administration (1992) from the Pontificial University of Comillas (ICADE E-3). In 1992, he began his professional career in the Business Development area of Grupo Gonvarri, to later assume functions as CEO. In 2005, he founded ACEK Renewables. In 2010, he was appointed Executive Chairman of Gonvarri Industries and Co-Chairman of Corporación ACEK, the family holding. Currently, he is Co-Chairman of the family holding, Chairman of Gonvarri Industries, Executive Chairman of GRI Renewable Industries, Vice president and member of the Board of Directors of Gestamp and member of the Board of Directors of Dominion. Jon is member of the Board of Trustees of Juan XXIII Foundation, NGO for the improvement of the quality of life of adults with intellectual disabilities and encouragement of their social integration.
Fermín del Río Sanz de Acedo
VICE-CHAIRMAN (EXECUTIVE DIRECTOR)
A business studies graduate (San Sebastian). He began his career as tax advisor in 1975 and is the founder of Norgestión (a consultancy specialised in mergers & acquisitions, tax law and finance). He provided services to this firm until 2008. He has also headed up ADEGI (the Guipuzcoa business association) and been a member of CONFEBASK, the Basque committee of business owner associations. He chaired Autometal S.A. in the past and has sat on the boards of a number of companies in the manufacturing industry, including Fegemu S.A., Viveros San Antón, S.A. and Global Dominion Access S.A. He is currently a member of the board of Alai Extrusión, S.A. and Basquevolt.
Mr Shukla is a technology Graduate from Indian Institute of Technology, BHU, Varanasi & MBA from Indian Institute of Management, Ahmedabad. He has over 42 years of rich and varied experience of managing large businesses in both consumer & industry segments. As a Group President, he chairs the boards of several companies in aerospace, defence, agri & component sectors in India and UAE. He earlier held the position of President of group strategy and brand management for Mahindra Group. He is also a member of high level CEO Forums of India with several countries including Spain, France, Germany & Israel. He is the chair of Mahindra CIE Automotive Ltd.
Abanti Sankaranarayanan, leads Group Public Affairs (India & international), Group Sustainability and Group Risk & Economist functions at Mahindra and Mahindra Ltd. She is also a member of the Group Executive Board. Prior to joining Mahindra, she was Head of the Strategy and Corporate Affairs function at Diageo India and a member of its Executive Committee. Prior to Diageo, Abanti served as a member of the Tata Administrative Service (TAS) where she held key roles managing some of the best-known consumer brands of the Tata Group in India, United Kingdom and the United States. Abanti’s contribution to the business have been recognized by Fortune India (The Most Powerful Women in Business; 2012, 2014, 2015 and 2016), IMPACT (50 Most Influential Women in Media, Marketing and Advertising; 2014, 2015, 2016 and 2017), India Today (India’s 25 Most Influential Women, 2013) and Fast Company, New York (100 Most Creative People in Business, 2012). Abanti is an Economics Graduate from St. Stephen’s College, Delhi and an MBA from Indian Institute of Management (IIM), Ahmedabad.
Iñigo Barea Egaña
Aeronautical Engineer from the Polytechnic University of Madrid and the École Nationale Supérieure de l'Aéronautique et de l'Espace and MBA from IESE Business School, Iñigo Barea began his professional experience as an engineer specialising in propulsion systems integration at Airbus. He then joined the strategic consulting firm A.T. Kearney where he worked on several international projects focused on improving operational efficiency. He is currently director of logistics operations for Spain at Just Eat Takeaway.
María Teresa Salegui Arbizu
A graduate of economic and business science from Deusto University. Ms. Salegui began her career at the transport firm La Guipuzcoana (1988-2002), where she worked as general manager, a position she also held at DHL Express Iberia (2002-2004). She is currently the chairwoman of Addvalia Capital and Perth Espacio y Orden and and currently sits on the boards of Baztango, F&F Inversiones and BAS.
Javier Fernández Alonso
Degree in Business Administration and Management with Honours from Deusto University, with a major in Finance. In 2000, he began his professional career in investment banking and mergers and acquisitions at Goldman Sachs in London and later, in 2002, he joined ABN AMRO in Madrid. In 2006, he joined the Investment Department of Corporación Financiera Alba and was appointed Deputy Chief Investment Officer in 2007, Chief Investment Officer in 2012 and Managing Director in 2020, a position he currently holds. He is currently, on behalf of Alba, a member of the Board of Directors of CIE Automotive, Ebro Foods, Profand Fishing Holding, Viscofan and the Rioja and Rioja Acquisition vehicles (Naturgy). Previously, he was a Director, among others, of Acerinox, ACS, Dragados, ACS Servicios y Concesiones, Euskaltel, Parques Reunidos and Clínica Baviera. In addition, he is a member of Artá Capital's Investment Committee since 2008 and is a Director of Artá Capital and several of the group's venture capital vehicles.
Jacobo Llanza Figueroa
A graduate of economic and business science from the University of Paris. Jacobo built his career in investment banking, starting out in 1989 in a number of positions at Banque Indosuez and Bancapital, before going on to create and run AB Asesores Moneda in 1992, an AB Asesores group company. Following the sale of this firm to Morgan Stanley in 1999, he joined Dresdner Kleinwort Wasserstein, where he worked as managing director of equities & derivatives for Latam, Eastern Europe, Africa and the Middle East. In 2002, he joined Alantra (formerly N+1), where he is currently a Managing Partner, as well as CEO of Alantra Asset Management.
Arantza Estefanía Larrañaga
LEAD INDEPENDENT DIRECTOR (INDEPENDIENT DIRECTOR)
Arantza graduated in law with highest honours from Deusto University. From 2000 to 2019, she has been Managing Partner of the Bilbao office of Uría Menéndez Abogados S.L.P., member of the Board of Directors, the Professional Practice Management Committee and the Criminal Risk Prevention Committee of the firm. She has been an independent director of Repsol, S.A. since May 31st, 2019, a member of its Sustainability Committee since that date, and a member of the Remuneration Committee since November 24th, 2021. Since July 2021, she has been a Director and Secretary of the Board of Directors of its subsidiaries Repsol Industrial Transformation, S.L. Sociedad Unipersonal and Repsol Customer Centric, S.L. Sociedad Unipersonal. Since 8 May 2020, she has been an independent director of Global Dominion Access, S.A., having chaired its Audit Committee until May 12, 2021. She is currently a member of the Audit Committee and a member of the Sustainability Committee. Since May 2019, she has been a member of the group of experts of the Economic and Social Council of the Basque Country, chairing the Economic Committee of said body since December 2019. She is Secretary of the Board of Directors of Bilbao Exhibition Centre S.A.
